new potty!!!

SO I finally gave in and bought the little potty. Cade absolutley loves it!! He strips down and hangs out in the bathroom as long as I'll let him and yes he has actually peed in it a few times!! I just wish I had more energy to put into really training him! He'll say, "mommy I wanna go potty!!" and I think "NO!!! Not again!!"....

as for a "baby update"... I will be going in on Tuesday, Feb. 5th at 6:45 AM to have this baby! I am really excited! I'm feeling a lot of pressure (physically and mentally) but I am ready!! Wish me luck and come visit!! We love visitors!!

the end is in sight!!

I am so excited!! My doctor finally gave me a date!! (well, kind of!) I had an appointment yesterday and when she checked me I was still just dialated to a two (thanks to being in bed all last week with the flu....) but she said that she will induce me "on the 4th, 5th, or 6th"....And I will take it!! I go in again on Monday, so hopefully we will schedule with the hospital then....YEA!! I'm getting so close!!

love my boys.....

I am officially ready!! I just washed my last batch of baby clothes and man does this kid have a ton of clothes!! (thanks to Celesta, Tish, Carrie and Jana...don't we love sisters and sisters-in-law!!)... One of my guilty pleasures is finding the perfect material for baby blankets! I have a closet full of blankets, but every new baby needs new baby blankets, right??!! And I don't necessarily like to make the blankets (thanks to my mom for helping!!) but I just love putting the pieces together and finding that perfect material!! My mom and I made this darling square quilt (yes, I helped a little!!) and it turned out so cute!! Now we just need the baby!!

This winter weather and the "waiting game" is driving me crazy! This has been the longest pregnancy ever!! Last week I was sick all week with the flu and a sinus infection...not a fun week! I spent most of it in bed which is kind of nice, except for the fact that sleeping with a big belly is not fun! My hips are constantly falling asleep and I am so congested even my husband can't stand my snoring! (how embarassing!! Only old men should sound the way I sound....) But, yes we did survive thanks to family for helping with the kids....

I have decided that pregnancy isn't my cup of tea. I'm not my happiest person when I'm prego and I just want my kids and my hubby to know how much I love them! I know I'm not the funnest to live with, but I do love them so much and I'm glad that they still love me enough to put up with me during this time!! My poor kids have lived in their pj's along with me! In fact, on a regular basis if you were to show up at our house all four of us would be in sweats!! (dave too, since he just works downstairs!!)
I feel very blessed to have two healthy beautiful boys- They are so much fun and I love being their mother!! I can't wait to add to the chaos and with yet another boy, I am way outnumbered!!!
Dave sent me flowers the other day and I still am not sure why. I should be the one sending him flowers but he beat me to it. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband who works so hard for our family. Dave really is my rock- my solid foundation! He helps me to not be such a spoiled brat and to see the world the way the Savior looks at the world. He helps me to "be the bigger person" even though I am constantly telling him "I don't want to be the bigger person!!" I love him so much and am so grateful for the man he is! He is such an amazing dad and you can see how much the boys love him just by looking at them. Cade is such a "daddy's boy" and it really is so cute to hear him say "my want my daddy!!" - Cade gets very jealous of daddy's attention...we are in trouble when the baby gets here! And although Austin and dave have their moments (austin is too much like me...unfortunatley) Austin loves to do things with daddy....puzzles, play outside- snowmen, or playing pass...He likes his attention and is always excited to tell dad when he's done something good!

now that I've gone on and on and on...I just want my boys to know how much I love them!! Love you and I promise to be a better mom and wife!!

In Hiding

Well, I've had some ask...where is your baby counter- well the answer to that is, I was getting a little depressed at what the numbers were and what my doctor keeps telling me! I had an ultra sound last week the doctor said, "well you have a big baby!..he already weighs 6 pounds!" I didn't know if I should cry with joy or be sad!! This either means that I still have until February 17th and I will end up with at least a 10 pound baby, or I will get to go early and Everyone knows how happy that will make me!!!
I go in on Monday, and she is going to check me- I am praying to already be dialated and I'm praying she'll give me a date!! I don't want a HUGE baby and I would love to be done with this pregnant thing... I will keep you updated!!

As for everything else that is going on with us- I feel like our lives are just in the "waiting stage"...I don't feel like doing much, I told Dave that I just want to go into hiding and lay on the couch until the baby comes...Thank goodness Grey's, and all our other fav shows are starting up again!!

but we are excited for the new year...The baby of course is our biggest change, but we're also trying to plan a trip to Hawaii to visit my sister!! Dave and I also have our "weight loss" goals...we'll see who follows through...(it better be me...I have a lot more to loose than him)!! Anyway I hope everyone is having a wonderful "new year"!!!

this ultra sound pic is a little hard to tell what it is..but if you look in the right hand corner you will see his GINORMOUS LIPS...his forehead got cut out of the pic, but you can see those two big bumps are his lips (hopefully he is sticking them out...) and then his chin! I was laughing my head off when I saw this...And I thought Cade had big lips.....

fire captain bob

cade is probably the funniest kid I know! he finds this hat and for the day walks around wearing it non stop- including in the bath...Dave was teasing him, saying, "are you fire captain bob"....and Cade's response in his grouchy, sassy talk, "my not tire captain bob, (he can't say his "f's"), my cader-bugs!"

and of course one of my most favorite moments had to be caught on camera...all three boys sitting quietly on the couch!! No teasing, no screaming, no fighting!!! Just all three sitting peacefully watching a movie!! Too cute....and it's a rare moment....
