ALOHA!!

I am so lucky that I got to tag along with My mom and dad to Hawaii! They had been planning their trip for a while, and I got the idea in my head that I needed to go with them (good idea huh!:))Cassie didn't know that Zoe and I tagged along and it was so fun to see the surprise on her face!! Little did I know that after I left for the airport that morning, Dave bought a quick ticket and he beat us there! You should have seen the look on my face when he showed up with none of our boys!! We are SO LUCKY to have an amazing family and friends who helped tend the boys while we went and played!! Thanks everyone for your help!

Our first day there we went to a surfing competition- the Pipeline Masters...It was cool to watch the surfers, but even more fun to lay in the sun!

Jack turned 2 in novemeber and he is SO CUTE!! He doesn't like to get his hands dirty or sticky- so it's hilarious watching him play in the sand. I just love him!
Brett tried to teach dave how to surf-
it was fun to watch brett actually surf, and watch dave try really hard!! Love the ocean!
We did a short Hike up Wayamai Falls- The water was kind of dirty because it had just rained for TWO days!

Taylor was such a sweetie! She is four years old going on sixteen- I was dying at how grown up she is! You should hear her sing Justin Bieber's song- She is a crack up! She loved baby Zoe and took great care of her- she even knew how to change her diaper all by herself!
It was VERY fun to dress Zoe in some cute summer clothes! Thanks to cousin syd for sharing!
Thanks mom and dad for letting us tag along! We ate lots of Delicious Food, Enjoyed the Sun (and the rain)! You are the best!
It was so fun to spend time with Cassie, Brett and their kids! We love you guys and miss you already!! Hopefully we'll be back soon, and next time we'll bring the boys so the kids can play!!

family...

what a FUN day! Here are just a few pics from the day...more to come!
Zoe's blessing day went great! We had a rough morning, but we made it to church on time and she slept through the whole thing! It was fun to have family over for yummy food and good conversation. We are so blessed with such a great family!! My mom made her BEAUTIFUL blessing dress (of course)...and thanks for all the help from my amazing sisters and sisters-in-law for helping with the food!

November came and went too quickly! We had a very fun thanksgiving with yummy food and family! The highlight was seeing TANGLED and I can't wait to buy it!! (seriously, cutest disney show ever...)
then a long night of shopping (fashion place...just couldn't miss the GAP 50% off sale) and then Walmart at 5 AM. It's all worth it when I can say that I AM DONE with all my shopping before it was even december!

Zoe's sleep schedule has been thrown off a bit- Tuesday night around 7:30pm I thought she felt a little warm...soon after she started coughing and it wasn't long before we were down in the ER at primary children's hospital. After a LONG night they determined that she just had a virus and sent us home. She was a trooper! I cried more than she did (she didn't cry at all- not even when they took her blood or when they put in the IV) She is doing much better and I am so thankful for that!

The best part about having a baby, is all the quiet moments we are sometimes (required) to actually sit down and rock a baby. Zoe is an angel and doesn't require much "rocking"- but it's so nice to have a time out from the day and just enjoy her. I Love to hold her on my chest so I can smell her head. There is nothing like a baby's smell!

What my boys are up to right now...

this is a rare moment...no teasing, wrestling, screaming or fighting. Just three boys sitting on the couch reading together! I LOVE IT!

Cade wants to be rapper. Not really, but he loves to sing and he loves to repeat this quote over and over and over and over and over (I am not kidding). Picture him with his big lips sticking out, his eyebrows down and in a "rapper voice" sing/say
"this girl over there with her braclet on, sitting over there in her old-man chair"
Really? Try hearing this 17 million times in one day...where he came up with it-I do NOT know. And even though I think I will never forget it, I will- so I must write it down for journaling's sake!

Dax is obsessed with a few things. His buzz jammies, which he wears every day, and every night. The only time they come off is for church (and he SCREAMS) or if he pees on them. It's a good thing we have a few pairs of them to rotate- but his stubborness is driving me crazy! And if you see us during the week, you will see my homeless looking two year old- in his buzz jammies, and no coat

Austin loves to hold his baby. He can pick her up all by him self and he LOVES to do this! He loves to smell her head and play with her hair (the little that she has)- I remember him doing this with cade and dax.
He is very obedient and anyone that knows him knows that he is a good kid. He's kind of shy in a cute way. He doesn't like to be in the spotlight and he gets embarassed.
He is a closet digger. By that I mean that he loves treasures. Your junk, is his most prized possession!

I just got home from a FUN trip to Hawaii to visit my baby sis...I will post pictures as soon as I can figure out how to get them on my computer! Hope you are all enjoying the Holiday season!!

I went to check on her and this is what I found...I've never had a thumb-sucker!
Oh so cute!

What to do on a sunday afternoon while dad watches football? Watch a movie on moms new computer (finally! No more laptop! yea!!) in a sleeping bag on the kitchen floor! FUN!!

my cute boys after church...and girl (I'm going to have to change my wording from "boys" to "kids"- that will take some getting used to!)

Four Weeks

Four weeks old...
Zoe is such a sweet baby! She really is an angel! She sleeps a lot, She doesn't cry much, all she does is make little squaks! She is very calm and likes to lay on the ground and enjoy not being mauled by her three brothers...(or me for that matter!)

What's new at our house with our new baby...
lots of laundry, lots of tiny diaperson the floor, thrown towards the garbage (in hopes of being picked up next time someone walks by it!), lots of "I called to hold the baby first!", "where's the baby?" and "can I hold the baby now!?", lots of PINK anything laying around the house (whether it's a bow, a blanket, socks, a onesie, a bouncer chair, a carseat...you name it- it's pink!)

We are LOVING our "Missy Missy"- as daddy calls her, "Miss Priss"- as Cade calls her, "baby"- as Dax calls her, "ZO-ZO" as mom calls her, and I'm not sure what Austin calls her (poor kid is gone a lot!)
Two Weeks Old...
my cute neighbor just happens to own LITTLE ANGELS PHOTOGRAPHY and she took these adorable pictures of ZOE...Is it bad if I hang every single one in her room??

Tanya, you are amazing! Thanks for the darling pics!!
Call me for info if you want pics, her studio is beautiful and she is amazing!

this is one of my FAV pic's...she looks so peaceful and calm- and that is exactly how she is! I love the arms up by her head- she loves to be sprawled out! We are loving this sweet baby in our house and enjoying every second!

I am feeling so blessed to have this sweet baby girl in our family! I will give you the quick (and "G" rated birth story) for those of you who have been asking!

We went to the hospital at 7 AM, I have never been so nervous in my life! Even though I've been through it before, I was a nervous wreck! Thank goodness to my amazing husband who was very supportive and helpful!!

My doctor broke my water at 7:30 am and after a few really bad contractions (I do not like pain) I got my epidural at 9:30, and a couple hours later at 11:46am, baby girl made her first appearance! First question was "is it really a girl?!" and next question was "is she healthy?"...YES- she's a girl and yes she is healthy!

Her big brothers love her so much! They were all very excited to see her and hold her- and the newness has not worn off yet!

Austin is loving that he is big enough to hold her by himself- and he is very helpful! I think he's gotten over the fact that we named her Zoe (he claims that he does not like that name!)He is very sweet to her and I think she might have his eyes (yea!) I am sad that he is the one who is gone to school all day! He likes to "tend" her when I have to do something for the other boys...

Cade has been asking A LOT of questions! He is very curious as to how the baby got out of my belly, why she can't eat apples, why my belly is "still so fat", and he can't keep his big lips off her face...I'm just glad he likes her! And I'm sorry if he teaches any of your children about the birthing process or about how a baby "eats"... (I think she looks most like cade...she's got his round head and nose- and think she'll have his hair color?...)

Dax has been very good with the new addition to our family. He loves his baby zoe and has been saying some funny things...
"when baby gets bigger she can ride my bike!" , "baby soooo tiny!", "look, I can shake baby" (as he is shaking her....oops)
I thought she looked most like dax in the beginning, but not so much now- I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Welcome to our family baby girl! We love you so much already and can't wait to see which one of your brothers you really do look like! (probably a good mix of all of them since none of my kids look alike!)
WE LOVE YOU!!

First day of school!! My big Second Grader!! He loves his teacher and he loves all the new friends he's met! He is an awesome reader and kicking butt in soccer!

My Buzz Light Year addict! He is all buzz... and potty trained! My quickest boy yet! He is my little buddy and getting so big!

First day of preschool! He is doing a gymnastics/tumbling class that he absolutly LOVES and he begs everyday for me to sign him up for "kung fu"...maybe next year!

and last but not least...we finally finished our backyard...two years in the making, but the grass is awesome and the boys LOVE it! We set our tramp up and dax gets a good hour at least everyday of jumping time.
We are on the countdown for baby! Doctor says he is going to induce me on the 29th! Yea!! I will put some pics up of the babies room...soon!!
