I've decided that may and june are probably going to be the busiest two months of my life...EVERY YEAR!! We go from Dave's birthday on the 18th, to Austin's birthday on the 28th, to Cade's birthday on the 7th. And then you throw "end of school" parties and yard work and trips- IT'S CRAZY!!

since I've been going to the gym at 5:30 AM I am always excited to come home and know that I can go back to bed for a few hours. Well, this particular morning this is what I came home to... IN MY BED

too cute to not post...but it meant that I had to sleep in cade's bed-not so fun!

My kids are all confused about real birthdays (as apposed to half birthdays because the schools celebrate the summer b-days during the year...) and Cade pouted all day on Austin's birthday because "It's not fair" that it was his birthday and not cade's...
Oh well- Austin had a great day! He slept in (like always), played with Isaac the minute he woke up, went to Mcdonalds for lunch, off to school, then two of his friends Mason and Tyson (twin brothers with the same cute red hair that austin has!) walked home with him and they all played until party time. All of Austin's cousins and aunts and uncles and grandmas and pa's came to eat cake and spoil him rotten! Anytime someone walked in the door he would say, "where's my present?"...
Megan and Curtis stayed late and Curtis helped Austin build his new lego ships that he got. (nice uncle!) and I think the highlight of his day was at 11 O'clock that night he said, "I'm hungry" and Uncle curtis said "come on I'll take you to Mcdonalds and you can get whatever you want!"- I have never seen a six year old be so excited!! What a fun memory! Thanks Curtis and megan for a fun "late night"...(believe me, I paid for it the next day with a very TIRED austin!)

The last few years we have gone down to St. George for Memorial day- So this year we how could we say no to the invite!? We went down on Wednesday night with the Nash's and then my mom and dad came down later in the weekend. We had a house full of crazy boys and they loved every minute of it. Cade wishes we could "live in our St. George house forever"...
Tish and her baby girl Sydney, My cousin Becca and her baby girl Molly, Me and my baby girl oh wait, I mean boy DAXTON :)

ohh I just love those big buck teeth!! The only time in his life that they will be so stinking cute!!
here comes summer! Ready or not!! YEA!!!

This week has been one heck of a week (and it's only Tuesday! what?!) Isn't is funny how everything always happens at the same time. I have a feeling that the next few weeks (probably even throughout the summer) is going to be CRAZY busy with a lot of running around...oh well, I would rather be busy than not. So here is what is going on.
My sister talked me into doing this six week training with her personal trainer (the famous "Niel"). We started on Monday so for the last two days I've been going his classes at 5:30am. AM!!! I am so not a morning person anyway- but 5:30- really who does that. Other than not being able to sleep for fear of missing my alarm clock and being quite sore all day- I LOVE it!! :) Just kidding- I really do like the classes and I have big hopes for what the end of this thing will bring. I feel like I'm on the biggest loser- we have weigh in's and we have to do "before and after" pics. Fun!!(or not...)

Yester day was Dave's birthday...
Happy birthday to you...happy birthday to you...happy birthday to dave...happy birthday to you...

my hubby is 29 years old!! HE'S SO OLD!!! Talk about an old man!!?? ha ha...
We had a fun day-breakfast in bed(cinnamon toast crunch), followed by work....with yummy tacos from his favorite taco stand for lunch, then his favorite part of the day...Golfing with boys...
I surprised him and made an Apple Crisp for his "birthday cake" and the boys helped me make golf ball cupcakes. And last but not least a few friends and family came over to sing and share in the yummy dessert.

happy birthday babe! We love you!!

I just have to get this off my chest...
My day today...
wake up to screaming dax who didn't stop whining and crying until I put him down at 11:00. Then Cade and I just had one of those days. He loves to yell when he gets mad...(hmmmm writing that down makes me wonder who gets it from...oops) and this morning "you are a stupid mom".. because I wouldn't got get his pants until he asked me nicely. Thank goodness he had school today...went visiting teaching, Took Austin to the school for kindergarten testing-(I am so thankful I have him! Such a smarty pants and very obedient! Every mom needs an Austin)...then Dax and I mowed the lawn- (don't know what I was thinking after my workout this morning...My arms were dying!) Then we made dinner (dax was nice enough to take another nap)...I got to hold my neighbors week old baby (don't even ask what that does to me!!!) right into dinner where cade says "MOM, you make the best stuff ever!!!"

now it's off to Young Women's (this is a nice break and I'm hoping my dishes will magically get done while I'm gone) Then some American Idol (GO CHRIS) and then off to bed, just in time to get up for my 5:30 workout!! YEA!!

we want summer...!!!!....

I have summer on the brain...I am so DONE doing homework box (for those of you who do not know what this is- it is a HUGE box full of LOTS of busy work for kindergartners...sigh) I am ready to be outside and play play play- and believe it or not, I am excited to do some yard work. My amazing mother came and helped me plant some flowers and I am just hoping I can keep them alive! Wish me luck because I will need it!
here's what we've been up to...

anytime this happens....

mr Dax gets a huge grin on his face. It's like he knows he can get back at all that cade dishes him all day. He especially likes to swipe Cade's "silky" (his blanket) and then he runs! I usually find him in a corner doing this...

Silly boy!

our DREADED project has begun. Our backyard has turned into a digging ground. We have had some water problems ever since we moved in so we are trying to solve the problems....with a HUGE hole, a LONG trench...and last but not least Dave decided to rent a jack hammer and dig out all of our concrete. I guess we'll have to regrade the whole yard- (yea! More Grass!!)Thanks to Papa Bruce who came and helped...we owe you BIG TIME!

t-ball has begun! Austin LOVES it! And he is a pretty dang good batter!! (like father like son!)

Dax loves babies! He always leans in and gives a little "ohhh". He's also learning how to squish their cheeks too...I wonder who he learned that from?! This is him peeking at cute Mason.

so bring on the summer...we are ready!!
