The flight over went really good (especially compared to the flight home...) Preslee (my cousin) came along to help with the boys and SHE WAS WONDERFUL!! An extra hand makes a huge difference!
Dave's golf clubs didn't make it to Hawaii the same time we did so we had a very grumpy dad who was worried sick about his clubs...and I've never seen him so relieved when they finally arrived the next day- he even tried to sleep with them! The hotel was really nice- they had live parrots in the lobby every day that would say "aloha" if you were lucky- so everyday Cade and Austin would be screaming "ALOHA" or "hello-ha/Hi-ha" (as cade would say) to try to get the birds to respond. The pool was fabulous! They had a fun water slide and and the boys loved it! You could only go down one at a time, so after some coaxing we finally got Cade to do it- and yes he loved it. Austin learned some great swimming moves(as long as he had his life jacket on)- and I was really proud of him! The beaches were gorgeous the waves Huge, and Dave even jumped off a pretty big cliff/rock- we were so proud! We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and we got POURED on! I've never seen it rain so hard! But it was still fun! Austin liked learning about the Hawaiian food and one of the guys weaved him a cool hat out of a leaf- he felt pretty special! The night show was cool- lots of muscly guys, and of course the guy who danced with FIRE was a big hit!
We went to Pearl Harbor- It was neat to see it, but hard to get the full effect with kids- We made it to the swap meet where Austin and Cade found some Ukuleles that they both love (at least for one day, right?), we had yummy icee's at mastumodos(Spelling?), saw the turtles on the beach, ate banana pancakes at the Hukilau Cafe (remember 50 first dates?), and the girls made it to Nordstroms (always time to shop!), dave golfed, we played guitar hero at Cassie's, we walked around the beautiful temple, and last but not least, I almost got eaten alive by a cockroach!! it was huge!!!
Thanks Cass, Brett, and Taylor for lots of fun!! we love and miss you already!!!

How fun I am so jealous. Love the Banana pancakes. I always make them for dinner now just to remind me of that place. Glad you had fun. Glad Dave and his clubs were reunited too.

Sounds like so much fun! I'm glad you guys were able to have a nice vacation together as a family. I want more pictures...though, the ones you posted are so cute. I love Austin's face in the pic with the parrot on his head! Priceless!
Aw, looks like so much fun! You deserved the break. Glad to hear Dave's clubs came. I can't imagine that trip if they didn't!

Looks so much fun. I am so glad you had such a fun time. We are coming home the end of June and want to plan a trip, without kids, of course Daxton could come and I could hold him for you, to Mikes Cabin. Start planning on it so we can all get together.
We miss you guys so much. I'm glad you guys had fun even though it was probably a lot more work than you thought. Give Dax a kiss for me.
